As we get ready to celebrate America’s 250th Anniversary, we reflect on our blessings,

especially the ability we’ve had to travel this beautiful country from sea to shining sea. Last fall we returned to several of our favorites: Montana, Wyoming, and Colorado.  Utah was in our plans as well, because we count it as a favorite, but we had to return home earlier than scheduled.  The West is majestic, yet so different in landscape.  That’s the thing, the diversity is incredible, but every square mile is still the United State of America!  As we celebrate the founding of this Country, may we ALL come together to be thankful for the blessings we enjoy by living here.

In celebration, I’ve complied a variety of photos to illustrate America the Beautiful.  I know travel across the globe is popular, but don’t overlook what’s available to you right here in our own country.  It’s been gratifying to have foreign tourists come here for the World Cup and marvel at how the USA is different than depicted to them in their home countries.  I think that’s true here as well.  Often our own citizenry doesn’t realize what they are missing by not traveling this vast United States.  Go West, North, East, South.  Every corner has its own unique style and culture, but it’s all America.  Check out your own backyard.  You might be surprised what you’ll find less than a day’s drive away.   Maybe it’s a place you knew existed, heard about, but had no clue exactly how beautiful, quaint, historic or captivating it is.  See your beautiful America, fall in love with it. We’ve been truly blessed.

Happy 250th Anniversary of the United States of America!
